At one time it was simple to recognize a metal building anywhere in the U.S.—just look for an unattractive metal hut that masqueraded as an inhabitable building. Additionally, many of the larger free-span structures gave all the allure of a metal cave. Fortunately, times have changed—and so have the designs of metal buildings. Now, pre-engineered steel systems provide more, especially in terms of enhancements, when contrasted to conventional structures. Numerous retail establishments, made of steel, can now in fact have glass and brick exteriors. Sharply inclined rooftops as well as formed stucco panels are used for churches and mosques.
