The MBMA, or Metal Building Manufacturer’s Association, has been a crucial organization in promoting and establishing the present pre-engineered, pre-fabricated metal structure industry. Founded in 1956, the MBMA began in the U.S. with 13 members. The intentions of this group have always been–and continue to be–the unwavering pursuit of industry-wide agreement on coverage and protection rules, building code applications, and design guidelines.
